Folded at the foot of a bed, the pattern reads as a horizontal band — the arches and triangles distinct at that distance. Pulled up over a chair, the two techniques become apparent: the raised embroidery against the flat printed ground, each holding its own weight.
Natural cotton with raised embroidered detailing is best maintained on a gentle machine wash — the embroidered motifs and printed surface are most vulnerable to heat, agitation, and direct abrasion during washing.
