Valencia Acacia Salad Servers

The handle is what makes these servers — a continuous chain of open oval links carved from a single length of acacia, running the full length of each piece. The chain does not assemble from parts; it comes from one piece of wood, the negative spaces cut through so the links are free but connected. At one end, a generous round bowl. At the other, a wide fork with three tines cut directly into the head.

Resting across the rim of a salad bowl at the table, the chain handles drape rather than sit rigid — the open links giving a little when lifted, the wood warm and immediate in the hand. The two pieces stay together without being arranged, the fork settling naturally beside the spoon each time they are returned to the bowl.

Solid acacia is a naturally dense wood that rewards simple, considered care — keep it dry between uses and condition it occasionally to maintain its grain and warmth over time.

• Never submerge in water or place in a dishwasher
• Avoid prolonged soaking, which can cause the wood to split or warp
• Apply food-safe oil occasionally to nourish the wood and maintain its surface
• Store in a dry setting away from direct heat or prolonged moisture
