Twilight Candle Holders

Brushed satin gold over aluminum, drawn into two taper holders — a broad base domed at the rim on each, with the stem rising above it in a tight rope twist from foot to cup. The satin finish runs one continuous directional grain across base, stem and cup. One stands shorter, one taller.

Satin gold reads as metal rather than mirror, so the candlelight sits on it instead of bouncing off. The rope twist runs the full stem, breaking that light into a rising line of small highlights rather than one continuous gleam. One holder stands above the other, so the two flames never sit level.

Aluminum candle holders keep their brushed finish longest when wiped clean rather than soaked — water pooling in the cup or around the base is the primary cause of surface dulling over time.
