Taraz Onyx Wine Cooler

The wine cooler is carved from a single block of onyx, with deep vertical flutes that run the full height of the form. Each channel is cut at a consistent depth and width, giving the surface a strong directional rhythm that resolves cleanly at the rim. The stone is dense and weighty — that weight is not incidental to what the object does.

On a bar counter, it holds a bottle upright and level. The fluting catches the light at an angle without drawing attention to itself. Between uses, it sits on a sideboard — the form and the stone sufficient on their own.

Natural onyx is a porous stone that requires simple, consistent care — keep it dry between uses, away from acidic substances, and out of prolonged contact with moisture to preserve the surface and depth of the stone over time.

• Do not leave standing water or melted ice inside the cooler for extended periods
• Avoid acidic cleaners, citrus solutions, or soaking pads — these will damage the stone surface
• Do not use abrasive substances such as scouring pads, abrasive or harsh cleaning products
• Use gentle soap and warm water if deeper cleaning is required; rinse dry promptly
• Slight variations in veining and tone are natural to the stone and not a defect
