Sitara Cotton Bath Mat

The mat is cotton, tufted on an ivory ground — warm sand chevrons and charcoal triangles built up in raised relief across the surface. A branching motif sits at the centre where the two halves of the pattern meet, charcoal running out to either side. The same charcoal forms a continuous border at the perimeter, holding the pattern within a clean edge.

On a bathroom floor after a shower — the mat placed at the edge of the bath, the geometric pattern clear against pale stone or tile. The relief sits soft underfoot, the tufted surface dense enough to hold its form after repeated use.

Cotton bath mats stay in best condition when machine washed with care — avoid bleach and high heat, both of which affect the density of the tufted pile and the depth of tone in the charcoal and sand over time.

• Shake or vacuum occasionally to refresh the surface pile
• Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the natural cotton fibres
• Do not iron directly on the tufted surface
• Wash separately for the first wash to preserve colour integrity
