Sitara Cotton Bath Rug

Cotton, tufted on an ivory ground into a bath rug of warm sand chevrons and charcoal triangles, all built up in raised relief. A branching motif sits at the center where the two halves of the pattern meet, charcoal running out to either side. The same charcoal forms a continuous border, holding the pattern inside a clean edge.

Charcoal runs the border as well as the triangles, which is what stops the pattern running off the edge — without it the chevrons would fray visually against the floor. Two colors and a neutral ground will sit under a bathroom that already has a scheme. The relief holds its definition after repeated washing.

Cotton bath mats stay sound when machine washed with care — avoid bleach and high heat, both of which affect the density of the tufted pile and the depth of tone in the charcoal and sand over time.

• Tumble dry low or air dry to maintain texture and color
• Shake or vacuum occasionally to refresh the surface pile
• Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the natural cotton fibers
• Do not iron directly on the tufted surface
• Wash separately for the first wash to preserve color integrity
