Sirohi Bone Inlay Frame

Bone inlay over a black resin ground, set piece by piece into a picture frame — vines and leaves moving across the border in a continuous botanical motif, none of it breaking. The inlay sits flush and smooth. The contrast between the black ground and the pale bone is sharp enough to read from across a room.

This frame does not recede behind the photograph — the border is high-contrast and busy, and it holds the eye. That suits a black-and-white print or a dark image better than a bright one. Flush inlay means a cloth passes over the border cleanly; nothing stands proud enough to catch.

Bone inlay stays sound when kept dry and handled gently — moisture and abrasive contact are the two things most likely to loosen the inlay or dull the polished surface over time.

• Do not use abrasive, acidic, or chemical-based cleaners — these will damage both the bone and the resin ground
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect bone tone and resin color over time
• Keep away from moisture and high humidity — sustained exposure can loosen inlay pieces
• Do not wipe with damp cloths or submerge in water
• Handle with care — the inlaid surface, while smooth, will chip if knocked
