The frame is built on a black ground, with ivory bone pieces set piece by piece into a continuous botanical motif — vines and leaves that move across the border without interruption. The inlay sits flush and smooth, the contrast between black resin ground and pale bone sharp enough to read clearly from across a room.

Bone inlay stays in best condition when kept dry and handled gently — moisture and abrasive contact are the two things most likely to loosen the inlay or dull the polished surface over time.

• Do not use abrasive, acidic, or chemical-based cleaners — these will damage both the bone and the resin ground
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect bone tone and resin colour over time
• Keep away from moisture and high humidity — sustained exposure can loosen inlay pieces
• Do not wipe with damp cloths or submerge in water
• Handle with care — bone inlay is set by hand and the surface, while smooth, is not impact-resistant
