Santiago Gold Cake Servers

Stainless steel blades in matte gold — one a straight knife edge, the other a wide offset server — paired with handles wound in natural braided rope that run the full length and end in a gathered tassel. The two forms share the same construction but read differently in hand.

Set out before a celebration cake, the tassel ends rest against the tablecloth and the blades sit flat, ready. After serving, they stay on the board at the edge of the table — the rope handles visible, the tassel setting them apart from the other pieces around them.

Braided natural rope requires gentle handling — moisture and heat are the two things most likely to loosen the braid or alter the tassel over time, so hand washing and immediate drying are essential after each use.

• Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water — do not submerge the rope handle
• Dry immediately and thoroughly after each wash, paying particular attention to the base of the tassel
• Do not place in the dishwasher — heat and prolonged water exposure will damage the rope and loosen the braid
• Keep away from prolonged direct heat or humidity, which can cause the natural fibre to stiffen or fray
• Store flat or upright to preserve the tassel form — avoid compression under other utensils
• Avoid abrasive cloths or harsh cleaning agents on the matte gold blade surfaces
