San Miguel Marble Tray

The tray is long and narrow — wide enough to hold a considered arrangement without crowding it. White marble with rose and mauve veining runs the full length, the centre field open. At each short end, brass scallop forms are inlaid flush into the stone, their arched lines continuous with the ring handles beneath.

Set on a low credenza beneath a window, it runs the full width of the surface — the brass ring handles just clearing the wall on each side. Morning light crosses it slowly, the mauve in the veining appearing and receding as the angle shifts through the day.

White marble requires prompt attention after contact with liquids — the polished surface is susceptible to staining from acidic substances, oils, and wine. Wipe down with a soft damp cloth immediately after use to keep the brass inlay and stone surface in best condition.
