Wide raised bands run the full width of the mat, separated by narrow low-pile lines that mark each interval cleanly. The pattern is tonal — the banding visible through the difference in pile height rather than through colour contrast. The microfiber pile is deep throughout, the raised bands sitting dense and full above the recessed lines that divide them.

On a bathroom floor below a vanity or beside the bath — the mat placed on white tile or pale stone, the horizontal banding reading quietly against the surface beneath it. In ivory, the bands hold pale and close to the floor. In taupe, the tone settles warm against cooler stone or marble alongside.

Microfiber bath mats with banded pile construction hold their surface definition best when washed cold — heat compresses the pile and reduces the contrast between the raised bands and recessed lines in both the ivory and taupe over time.

• Shake or vacuum occasionally to refresh the pile
