Regalia Tiered Marble & Brass Stand

White marble and brushed brass, composed as a two-tier stand — two round marble trays, one wider at the base and one narrower above, mounted on a brass rod that runs through the center of both and ends in a T-bar at the top. Each tray carries concentric grooves carved into the face, rings moving outward from the center in close, even succession.

The upper tray takes rings and earrings, the lower a watch and whatever else comes off at the end of the day, and the grooves keep small things from sliding to the edge. The T-bar is where the hand goes to move it.

White marble and brushed brass each require separate care — the marble kept dry and wiped promptly to prevent etching, the brass polished occasionally with a dry cloth to keep oxidation from settling into the brushed finish.

• Wipe marble trays immediately with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap after contact with liquids
• Dry marble thoroughly — do not leave moisture sitting on the surface
• Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners on the marble, which will etch and dull the stone
• Polish the brass rod and crossbar occasionally with a dry soft cloth to maintain its tone
• Do not use chemical metal cleaners on the brass — these will strip the brushed finish
• Handle with care to protect the marble trays from chipping at the rim
• Store away from prolonged humidity, which will affect both the marble surface and the brass over time
