Normandy Veined Onyx Marble Tray

Onyx marble, cut into a flat rectangular slab and held at each end by a brushed gold band — rising just above the face, down the end, and returning beneath as a foot. Green carries most of the surface, moss deepening to olive, with russet veins forking through it like roots and a paler cream ground showing where the color thins.

No rim along the long sides, so a bottle or a stack of glasses sets down and lifts off without clearing an edge. The raised ends are also the grip, holding the contents at exactly the two points where they would slide once the tray is carried. Underneath, the same bands lift the stone clear of the surface it sits on.

Onyx marble dulls where acid or standing moisture is left on it, and a brushed finish shows water spotting — wiping promptly and drying fully are the two habits that keep both materials looking right.

• Wipe the stone with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its finish
• For spills, clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap
• Avoid acidic substances — citrus, vinegar, and harsh cleaners will etch and dull the stone
• Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on either material
• Wipe the gold handles with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the brushed grain
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water spotting
