Moonlight Onyx Coasters

Onyx, cut into four round coasters, each taken from a different section of the slab. Ivory white carries soft sage-green veining with warm peach and blush moving through it, falling differently on every piece. The top face is honed flat, the edge softly rounded, and no two of the four repeat.

Four coasters cut from four parts of one slab, so the set is related without matching — sage runs heavier on one, peach on the next. A pale ground is the harder choice: it gives the veining somewhere to show, where a dark stone would swallow it. Under a glass the color still reads.

Onyx coasters stay sound when dried promptly after each use — the stone is sensitive to prolonged moisture and acidic liquids, both of which can mark the surface or alter the veining's natural depth over time.

• Wipe each coaster with a soft dry cloth after use
• For spills, clean with a lightly damp cloth and mild soap — dry immediately
• Keep acidic liquids — citrus, wine, vinegar — from sitting on the surface
• Do not stack coasters when wet — moisture trapped between pieces can mark the stone
• Do not place in a dishwasher or submerge in water
