Moonlight Onyx Cloche Board

Onyx, cut wide and low into a serving board with a circle recessed directly into the stone to seat the glass cloche. Ivory white runs through the slab with sage-green and warm peach veining flowing across it. The corners are rounded, the face honed matte, the dome clear with a solid knob.

The well is what separates this from the other cloche boards — the dome sits down into the stone rather than on top of it, so glass and stone read as one form instead of two stacked. Veining runs continuously under the dome, so what shows through the glass is the board as much as what sits on it.

Onyx stays sound when kept dry between uses — the stone is sensitive to prolonged moisture and acidic substances, both of which can affect the surface over time.

• Wipe the board with a soft dry cloth after each use
• For spills, clean with a lightly damp cloth and mild soap — dry immediately
• Keep away from citrus juice, vinegar, and acidic foods that rest directly on the stone
• Clean the glass cloche with a soft cloth and gentle glass cleaner
• Do not submerge either piece in water or place in a dishwasher
• Store the cloche off the board when not in use to prevent moisture from collecting at the seat
