Milford Wool Rug

Flat-woven wool in warm natural beige forms the ground — close and even, with the slight variation that comes from hand-weaving. Raised wool cords in alternating cream and grey run the full width, forming wave lines that travel the length of the rug. The cords are rounded and distinct, giving the surface a low relief that shifts as light moves across it.

Under a dining table, the wave pattern holds its presence between chair legs — the grey and cream lines remain visible across the full floor. Laid at the foot of a bed, the rug reads quieter: the beige ground takes over and the wave detail becomes something you notice up close rather than from the doorway.

• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub, as this works moisture deeper into the weave.
• Avoid saturating the rug with water or liquid cleaner — spot clean only with a wool-safe solution.
• Rotate the rug every six to twelve months to distribute foot traffic and light exposure evenly.
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can shift the tone of the natural beige ground over time.
• Professional cleaning recommended for deeper maintenance — specify wool flat-weave to your cleaner.
