Milford Wool Rug

Wool, close-woven into a rug in warm natural beige, with raised cords running the full width in alternating cream and soft gray. The cords form wave lines that travel the length of the field, rounded and standing clear of the ground, so the surface holds a low relief rather than sitting flat.

Lines running edge to edge make this rug directional. Turned one way the waves widen a narrow room; turned the other they draw it longer — one rug, two different effects, decided by which way it lands. Cream and gray alternate strictly down the field, so the sequence never doubles up on itself.

• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub, as this works moisture deeper into the weave
• Avoid saturating the rug with water or liquid cleaner — spot clean only with a wool-safe solution
• Rotate the rug every six to twelve months to distribute foot traffic and light exposure evenly
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can shift the tone of the natural beige ground over time
