Form & Presence

Natural cotton with wool crewel embroidery, worked into a pillow whose whole ground is stitched lime green — a cobalt medallion at the center, four navy branch forms reaching to the corners, and an open teal lattice running the border. The composition is formally symmetrical, corner for corner.

Symmetry is the rare thing here: every other embroidered pillow in the range is tossed, scattered or single-subject, so this is the one that sits true in a chair back and reads identically from either side of a room. Wool takes green deeper than a dyed cotton would. The lattice border stays open rather than filled.
