Kyoto Equestrian Throw

Natural cotton, handwoven into a throw with a folk-register surface — stylized horses repeating across an ivory ground, surrounded by tulip forms, small angular marks and scattered florals in terracotta, sage green, dusty rose and muted blue. Tufted embroidery raises the horses above the flat printed ground; tasseled edges finish all four sides.

The tufted horses are what the hand finds first — raised enough to trace with a fingertip while the printed marks around them stay flat. The tassels run the full perimeter, so whichever edge falls forward the finish is the same.

Natural cotton with tufted embroidery and tasseled edges is maintained on a gentle machine wash — the raised motifs, printed surface, and tassel finish are most vulnerable to heat, agitation, and tangling during washing.

• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent; avoid bleach
• Air dry or tumble dry low to preserve tufted embroidery and fringe
• Avoid ironing directly over embroidery; use a cloth barrier if needed
• Dry clean occasionally to help preserve embroidered motifs and tassel detailing
