Kyoto Equestrian Throw

Natural cotton with a folk-register surface — stylised horses repeat across an ivory ground, surrounded by tulip forms, geometric marks, and scattered florals. The motifs are worked in terracotta, sage green, dusty rose, and muted blue, with tufted embroidery raising the primary figures from the flat printed ground. Tasselled edges finish the border on all four sides.

Laid across a daybed or reading chair, the surface population reads as a whole before the individual motifs separate out. The tasselled border sits at the edge of the seat — the throw stays in place and the tassel detail runs the full perimeter.

Natural cotton with tufted embroidery and tasselled edges is best maintained on a gentle machine wash — the raised motifs, printed surface, and tassel finish are most vulnerable to heat, agitation, and tangling during washing.

• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent; avoid bleach
• Air dry or tumble dry low to preserve tufted embroidery and fringe
• Avoid ironing directly over embroidery; use a cloth barrier if needed
• Dry clean occasionally to help preserve embroidered motifs and tassel detailing
