Form & Presence

Solid onyx, cut into a wide, low round tray and polished to a shallow concave center — the surface dips gently toward the middle, just enough to hold the eye. The edge is rounded and the profile low. Pecan Brown carries sweeping layered veining in warm charcoal and brown; Laurel Green is cool gray with broad sage banding.

The dip at the center is shallow enough that a decanter stands level on it, and deep enough that small things drift toward the middle rather than off the edge. The concave is turned, not cut, so there is no edge anywhere inside the tray.

Onyx is a porous stone with a polished surface that rewards consistent, gentle care — avoid abrasive cloths, acidic substances, and placing objects directly on the surface without protection.

Dust regularly with a soft dry cloth to preserve the polished surface
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed — dry immediately
Avoid acidic cleaners, citrus, vinegar, and harsh detergents — these damage the stone and dull the polish permanently
Do not place glasses, bottles, or objects directly on the surface without a protective base — moisture and abrasion mark the polish over time
Apply a stone sealant periodically to protect the surface and preserve the mineral depth
Keep away from direct heat sources to prevent surface stress
