Holi Medallion Throw Pillow

A large floral medallion sits at the centre. Its petals radiate outward in concentric rings — amber at the core, then crimson and terracotta, a warm grey band, a deep crimson outer ring edged in olive. White petal forms hold space between the colour layers. The ivory ground shows at the corners.

On an accent chair in an entry hall, the pillow faces the room directly. The medallion reads clearly from a distance — radial structure first, then colour. Closer in, the directional stitching follows the curve of each petal from base to tip.

Wool crewel embroidery on an ivory cotton ground requires gentle handling — dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the directional stitching of the medallion and the integrity of the ivory cotton ground and its evenness.

• If spot cleaning is necessary, use mild soap and cold water on the ivory cotton ground only — avoid direct contact with the embroidered medallion
• Lay flat or reshape and air-dry away from direct sunlight to prevent yellowing of the ivory ground and fading of the terracotta tones
• Do not iron directly on the embroidered surface; use a cloth barrier if needed
• Store flat or loosely folded to avoid compressing the raised wool stitching
