Hanover White Marble Arch

White marble, carved from a single block into an arch — dense, close-set flutes running the full length of both legs and fanning across the curve overhead. Where the flutes meet the inner face the stone is left smooth, and the contrast between the two surfaces is deliberate. The form is broad at the base and resolves cleanly at the apex.

The opening stays clear — nothing sits under it, and whatever surface it stands on shows through. Fluting on the outside and smooth stone inside means the arch reads carved from the front and plain from within. The fan across the crown is the only place the carving turns.

White marble stays sound when kept dry and free of oils — the honed surface will absorb liquids more readily than a polished finish, making prompt attention to spills the primary care habit.

• Wipe spills immediately with a dry cloth — do not let liquids sit on the stone
• Avoid acidic cleaners, citrus, or vinegar — these will etch the marble surface
• Keep away from oils, including hand creams and cooking oils, which will stain the honed finish
• Do not use abrasive cloths or scouring pads — these will scratch the surface
• Handle with care to prevent chipping at the fluted ridges
• Store in a dry environment away from prolonged moisture exposure
