Guppy Bottle Opener

The form runs the length of the fish — snout at one end, tail fanning into the opener loop at the other. Scaled texture across the silver-grey belly, olive-yellow along the back with black spots, a cobalt blue band along the midline. Burnt orange fins with fine linear detail. Hand-painted enamel, high-gloss throughout.

An evening counter, bottles out, something cold being opened. The fish gets picked up by the tail, used, then set back down face-up on the counter. The markings and fins stay visible between rounds, the midline stripe catching whatever light is nearby. Most openers go into a drawer. This one stays out.

Hand-painted enamel on aluminum stays in good condition with simple, consistent care.
