Gohana Cotton Bath Rug

Cotton, tufted into a bath rug on a cream ground — a gray-outlined diamond at the center with a smaller red diamond nested inside it, chevrons in the same gray above and below, and two branching motifs in sage green crossing between them. A dashed border of alternating gray and red blocks runs the full perimeter.

Two pile depths do the work here — the diamonds and chevrons stand proud, the sage branching sits lower, so the pattern separates into layers seen from above rather than reading flat. Cotton takes water fast. Underfoot the two depths register before any of the color does.

Cotton bath mats with tufted geometric patterning hold their form and color when machine washed cold — the contrast between the cream ground and the colored motifs can soften gradually with heat, particularly in the red and gray over time.

• Tumble dry low or air dry to maintain pile depth and color
• Shake gently after drying to restore the pile
• Avoid harsh chemicals that may affect yarn color and fiber quality
• Do not iron directly on the tufted surface
• Wash separately for the first wash to preserve color integrity
