Derby Carved Cheese Knives

Carved ivory resin and stainless steel, made up as three cheese knives — a repeating pierced botanical motif runs the full length of each grip, leaf and petal forms opening the surface at intervals, each marked by a small round steel accent. Three blades, shaped to task: a leaf blade, a serrated knife with a forked tip, and a wide flat blade for slicing.

Pierced handles mean the grip is lighter than it looks and gives the fingers something to hook into with wet hands. The piercing is the pattern — leaf and petal forms cut through rather than carved into the resin, so the handle changes with whatever is behind it. Small steel accents mark each repeat.

Carved resin handles stay sound when washed by hand — prolonged water exposure and heat from a dishwasher can affect both the resin surface and the bond between blade and handle over time.

• Dry immediately with a soft cloth after washing
• Do not soak or leave standing in water
• Do not place in a dishwasher — heat and prolonged moisture affect both the resin handles and the blade integrity
• Avoid abrasive cloths or harsh cleaning agents on the carved resin surface
• Store in a dry setting to maintain both blade and handle condition
