Coco & Charlie Marble Bird Objects

Two birds, two postures — one with its tail sweeping upward in a long arc, body low, beak forward; the other more compact, wings spread, beak tilted up. Each carved from solid white marble and honed flat. Shallow incised lines define the feather detail across wing and body on each.

On a console beside a stack of books, or on a shelf between other objects — the pair placed without symmetry, one reaching higher than the other. A surface that already has things on it welcomes both, and the arrangement finds its own balance without being managed.

White marble holds its honed finish best when kept away from standing water and acidic substances — prolonged moisture and citrus or vinegar-based cleaners are the primary threats to the surface and the stone's natural character over time.
