Charlotte Marble Bowl

The ridges run the full circumference of the outer wall — angled, closely spaced, cut at a lean that gives the form a sense of rotation. The interior is smooth and gently recessed, a direct contrast to the carved exterior. The marble is close to pure white, dense and close-grained, with faint mineral shading across the surface.

A wide entry console in a house with stone floors — the bowl sits low, anchoring the surface without crowding it. The carved exterior catches the overhead light differently as you pass, the ridges throwing their own narrow shadow across the wall beside it. The smooth interior holds whatever is placed inside without competing.

White marble holds best when kept dry and away from acidic substances — prolonged contact with citrus, vinegar, or acidic foods will mark the surface and is the most common cause of permanent staining on white stone.

• For spills, clean with a lightly damp cloth and mild soap — dry immediately
• Keep acidic substances — citrus, vinegar, oils — away from both the carved exterior and the interior basin
• Do not use abrasive cloths or harsh chemical cleaners on any surface
• Lift rather than drag when repositioning — the base will scratch surfaces beneath
