Bogota Jute & Denim Rug

The jute is braided into an open lattice — each strand crossing the next at a consistent angle to form a field of diamond-shaped cells across the full surface. The body is natural and warm, the weave close enough to hold its structure underfoot but open enough that the recycled denim woven through reads as a quiet, scattered blue beneath. The border is bound in the same denim, giving the edge a clean finish.

Under a round wood table with chairs pulled in, the rug holds the arrangement without demanding attention. The lattice pattern stays visible between the legs — the open weave does not disappear under furniture the way a denser pile would. In a bedroom, laid alongside the bed, the texture is present but not coarse — the braid is tight enough to sit flat and stay there.

• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub
• Do not saturate with water or use wet shampoo methods
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can fade the natural fiber tone
• Spot clean with a small amount of mild soap and minimal moisture; allow to dry fully before use
• Lay flat to dry if any moisture is introduced — never fold or store damp
• Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and reduce fiber stress underfoot
