Bahara Botanical Throw

Cotton blend, woven light and supple into a throw carrying embroidered botanicals and tufted stems across an ivory ground. Florals, leaves and vines run in sage green, terracotta, dusty rose, sky blue and warm gold. A fringe at each end closes the edge where a hem would have stiffened it.

Two techniques share the ground: flat embroidery draws the florals, tufting raises the stems above them — a difference the hand finds before the eye does. Against ivory the sage and terracotta stay muted while the gold picks up whatever light is in the room, so the throw reads warmer by lamplight than it does folded.

Cotton blend with embroidered and tufted detailing stays sound when washed cold on a gentle cycle — the embroidery and tufted stems are the elements most at risk from heat, agitation, and direct contact with other fabrics during washing.

• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent; avoid bleach
• Turn inside out before washing to protect the embroidered and tufted surface
• Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry — high heat can distort the tufted stems
• Avoid ironing directly over embroidered or tufted areas
• Dry cleaning is not required — cold, gentle washing is sufficient for routine care
