Badajoz Marble Cheese Board

White marble, cut from a single slab into a long cheese board with a softly rounded top edge and a jute cord through one corner. Brass inlay lines run across the face in a pattern that fans open toward the top. This is the longest board in the range.

The inlay fans from one corner, which gives the board a top and a bottom once it hangs — most boards have neither. Brass sits flush with the marble, so the pattern registers as a change in temperature under the hand rather than as a ridge. Against white the lines read warm rather than bright.

White marble is a polished, porous stone that requires gentle, consistent care to preserve its surface and the integrity of the brass inlay. Keep it away from acidic substances and standing moisture — both will damage the stone and dull the inlay over time.

• Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth after use and dry thoroughly immediately
• Avoid acidic, citrus-based, or abrasive cleaners — these will etch the marble surface
• Do not place directly on rough surfaces — this will scratch and damage the brass inlay lines
• Do not submerge in water or place in a dishwasher
• For food use, place parchment or a liner beneath soft cheeses and acidic foods to protect the stone surface
• Polish gold inlay occasionally with a soft dry cloth to maintain warmth and shine
