Austen Mosaic Onyx Frame

White marble and onyx, hand-set tile by tile into a picture frame — small alternating pieces across a wide border, honed matte rather than polished, so the checkerboard resolves into texture at any distance. The corners are gently rounded and the inner edge meets the photograph cleanly. Pickle Green runs sage and olive; Hazel Brown runs taupe and sandy gray.

Honed stone takes no glare, which matters on a frame that stands under a lamp — a polished mosaic would throw light back across the glass. Every tile is cut and placed by hand, so tone shifts across the border. Pickle Green and Hazel Brown change its temperature, not its pattern.
