Ardmore Cotton & Wool Rug

Cotton, wool and jute, flat-woven together into a rug patterned in registers across the full field — a central diamond medallion, stepped border bands, and smaller repeating forms holding the composition together. The color sits in muted sage against warm natural, with occasional gold where the jute comes through. The wool raises the pattern slightly above the cotton base.

Flat-woven at a low profile, this clears a door that swings inward where a tufted rug at the same footprint would not. Three fibers in one weave is also three rates of wear — the wool will felt slightly where the cotton stays flat. Fringe is at the short ends only, so the long sides finish clean.

Cotton and wool flat-weaves stay in best condition with regular dry maintenance — wool fiber is susceptible to moth damage in storage, and the flat construction offers no pile to buffer spills from reaching the base.

• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub
• Avoid saturating with water; spot clean with mild soap and minimal moisture
• Allow to dry fully and flat after any moisture contact
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can shift the sage tones over time
• Store clean and in a breathable cover — wool attracts moths when stored soiled
• Professional cleaning recommended for full washes
• Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and reduce wear on the flat-woven base
