Form & Presence

Cotton, tufted into a bath rug with a tonal pattern — circles and small blocks raised across the full surface in the same color as the ground, visible through relief and shadow rather than contrast. The forms repeat in a steady grid from edge to edge, no border interrupting them. The pile is deep throughout, the raised motifs flush with the density of the surface.

The relief is texture before it is pattern — the foot finds it first, and the eye takes a moment to separate the circles from the blocks. Cotton takes water fast and holds its shape wet. In ivory the rug stays pale and close to the floor; in teal it holds its tone beside a white tub.

Care & Longevity

Cotton bath mats in deep tonal pile hold their color and surface definition when washed cold — heat flattens the pile over time and can reduce the visibility of the relief pattern in both the ivory and teal.

Tumble dry low or air dry to maintain pile depth and color
Shake or vacuum occasionally to refresh the surface pile
Avoid harsh chemicals that may affect yarn color and fiber quality
Do not iron directly on the tufted surface
